Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (version 2)
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is an 1889 novel by Mark Twain that blends humor and satire with elements of time travel. The story follows a 19th-century American who finds himself transported to the court of King Arthur, where he uses his modern knowledge to navigate and influence medieval society. This work is notable for being one of the earliest examples of time travel in literature, predating H.G. Wells' The Time Machine by six years. Early editions were published under the title A Yankee at the Court of King Arthur.
