The Rāmāyana Volume One

This is a complete and literal translation of the Rāmāyana of Valmiki done by Manmatha Nath Dutt,, M. A., the Rector of the Keshub Academy back in 1891. This is not a mere reproduction of that book, but a re-typeset edition with many corrections. If you want to read the Rāmāyana as Valmiki wrote it, without modern authors improving and interpreting the original text, then this is the translation you want. This book was originally published using KDP and sold on Amazon. Amazon's policy on using KDP for public domain works requires them to be differentiated somehow from other versions of the same title in their catalog and this may not qualify so I have unpublished it and decided to share the files here instead. The original files used for KDP were lost so I have recreated them.
