Macdermots of Ballycloran
Macdermots of Ballycloran, written by Anthony Trollope between 1843 and 1845 and published in 1847, tells the story of the decline of a landowning family in County Leitrim, Ireland. The narrative centers on Larry Macdermot, who struggles to maintain his family's dilapidated mansion while facing financial ruin due to a mortgage with Joe Flannelly.
