Cowardly Lion of Oz (version 2)

The Cowardly Lion of Oz, published in 1923, is the seventeenth book in the Oz series originally created by L. Frank Baum and the third written by Ruth Plumly Thompson. In this adventure, Mustafa of Mudge attempts to capture the Cowardly Lion to display him in a zoo, while the Lion encounters a stone man who offers to turn him into stone to eliminate his fear. The story explores themes of disguises, honesty, and self-acceptance.
