The Klan Unmasked

The Klan Unmasked, written by W. J. Simmons in 1923, provides an insider's perspective on the Ku Klux Klan, detailing its organization, beliefs, and rationale for existence. As a founder of the Klan, Simmons defends its image against public criticism and argues for its role in preserving Anglo-Saxon civilization. This historical account is notable for its attempt to justify the Klan's activities during a period of significant social tension in the United States.
