The Dogs and the Fleas

The Dogs and the Fleas is a satirical narrative written by Frederic Scrimshaw in the late 19th century. Set in the fictional society of Canisville, it uses allegory to explore the struggles of a community of dogs who have rejected the oppressive fleas of Kyhidom. The story comments on broader social and political issues, reflecting the dynamics between the working class and their oppressors in the United States during that era.
