Prayers for Heart and Home

Do you ever feel that your prayers are falling into a rut? While the freedom to speak to God about whatever is on our hearts is a great privilege, F. B. Meyer, a contemporary and friend of D. L. Moody, realized that at times our extemporaneous prayers may be difficult to frame, lack freshness or become repetitive. At such times, it is helpful to follow the thoughts and words of another and this book was designed to help Christians do just that. It contains a morning and evening prayer for each day over the course of a month, as well as for special days such as Christmas, Good Friday and Easter. These are prayers that God will be delighted to answer because they are solidly grounded in the prayers and promises of the Bible. Each day includes elements of adoration, confession, thanksgiving and supplication, making these prayers a solid foundation which the believer can adapt to his or her own circumstances.
