Klaasje Zevenster, deel 1 is a novel by Jacob van Lennep, published in 1866. Set in the 1820s, it follows a group of Leiden students who celebrate Sinterklaas when they unexpectedly receive a package containing a baby girl. They decide to care for her, and the story explores the life of Klaasje as she grows up and faces significant changes after moving in with one of her guardians, Gerlof Bol, who has become a minister. This is the first of five planned volumes, with the subsequent parts yet to be released.
