
Horto
Horto, published in 1900, is the only poetry collection by Brazilian poet Auta de Souza, who died young at 24. Originally titled Dhálias, the book was renamed by Olavo Bilac, who wrote its preface. The second edition, released in Paris in 1910, includes 17 additional poems. Souza's work explores themes of religiosity, mortality, and nature, reflecting her deep emotional and spiritual insights.
