Fairies and Folk of Ireland

Fairies and Folk of Ireland, written by William Henry Frost in the late 19th century, is a collection of Irish folk tales and legends that intertwine the narrative of the O'Brien family with traditional stories from Ireland's rich oral culture. The book explores themes of hardship, hope, and the enduring presence of folklore, particularly concerning fairies and spirits. Through the family's struggles and the grandmother's tales of legendary figures like King O'Donoghue, it reflects on the connection between past glories and present challenges in Irish life.
