Discourses on Various Subjects, Vol. 1 (of 2)

Discourses on Various Subjects, Vol. 1 is a collection of religious sermons by Jacob Duché, written in the late 18th century. As the first chaplain to the Continental Congress and a prominent Episcopal clergyman, Duché emphasizes inner spirituality and moral conduct over external religious practices. The sermons, originally preached in Philadelphia, reflect Duché's commitment to engaging the heart and mind in understanding faith and righteousness. This volume is reprinted from the second edition published in 1780.
