Devil worship : The sacred books and traditions of the Yezidiz

Written in 1919 by Isya Joseph, 'Devil Worship: The Sacred Books and Traditions of the Yezidiz' provides a scholarly examination of the Yezidi religion, often mischaracterized as 'Devil-Worship.' The book explores the Yezidi faith through its sacred texts, including the Black Book and the Book of Revelation, and discusses the group's creation myths, beliefs about God and the devil, and their unique rituals. It also addresses the historical persecution of the Yezidis, including recent atrocities faced by the community, offering a nuanced understanding of their traditions and identity.
