Book of Philemon

The Book of Philemon is a short epistle in the New Testament attributed to an unknown author, traditionally believed to be the Apostle Paul. Written in the first century, it addresses Philemon, a Christian slave owner, regarding his runaway slave Onesimus, who has converted to Christianity. This letter is notable for its themes of forgiveness and reconciliation, challenging social norms of slavery and advocating for the humane treatment of all individuals. It is one of the shortest letters in the New Testament, yet it carries significant theological implications.
