Adolf Hitler: Mein Kampf for anti-fascists
Adolf Hitler: Mein Kampf - for anti-fascists. Translated into English by James Murphy: 1939. Volume I & II with unpublished sequel work: Zweites Buch 1928: eBook supplied with accompanying external audio book-track links. Narrated by British singer/songwriter & novelist; ‘Odd Jonathan’."Profit must not be made from the genocide of 6 million." www.Brittunculi.co.uk. Mein Kampf, the autobiographical work of the German National Socialist leader Adolf Hitler has returned. After 70 years since original publication copyright restrictions held by the lawful Bavarian rights holders have now expired. And it is this fact that presents anti-fascists worldwide with a dilemma of momentous magnitude. Do we bury our heads in the sand and hope it will go away? In the full knowledge that a tirade of racial and anti-Semitic hatred now, within the public domain, is shared virally at will by those who subscribe to its ideological doctrine of vulgarity; here to pollute the minds of a new susceptible and gullible ‘Google search’ generation? Holocaust denial and a wave of resurgence in far right nationalism is on the increase. How short our memories are. We must not forget what the Nazi regime created, its crimes of genocide. But: we must also accept that Mein Kampf is not going to go away. January 2016 has arrived and for the first time since 1945, publishers are eagerly reproducing copies from which they will directly profit: Mein Kampf reaching the top ten sales positions in many book stores worldwide. You; the reader, do not have to justify your reasons for being here as those that seek only glorification of this work have already, I feel certain, decided that this is not the copy they seek. But it is necessary for me to justify myself. I recently had a conversation about veganism. Should we, as those that abstain from eating flesh display our range of consumer edible products beside meat? Traditionally within larger stores the two products co-exist on separate aisles. I for one don’t want the unpleasant experience of picking up my food in the face of dead sentient creatures. But: It was put to me that in order for us to ‘sway’ others into an understanding of speciesism, vegetarian products must be on display where others purchase. This I hold to be true. I accept that there are legitimate reasons to read Mien Kampf beyond the twisted immorality of fascism. Political, sociological, historical and psychological understanding of anti-Semitism and Holocaust education being essential factors. My position is clear; I seek to de-financialize Mein Kampf by offering this free verbatim translation within the context of Holocaust awareness; alongside ‘those others’. In choosing your book you now have consumer choice. More of this fundamental principle is explained within part one of the audio book track supplied. No changes have been made; indeed whilst I narrated this Murphy translation, I came across many textual errors, but I have not corrected them. Whilst I accept the need to narrate this work, improving on it is a step too far; for that would be morally repugnant. I thank you for downloading, supporting and sharing this free title. You do so in the knowledge that your money ‘spent elsewhere’ has now not funded or financed the motives of the neo-far-right. That profit must not be made from the genocide of 6 Million. That sanity itself may take ownership of it. I am an anti-fascist, a Marxist, a member of the British Labour movement. Sadly; whilst retracing my family origins, I have not discovered Judaism within my family tree - But as an old Jew once said; “You simply didn’t go back far enough”
