Adam Hepburn's Vow: A Tale of Kirk and Covenant

In February 1638, a minister and his two children travel through the bitter cold Scottish countryside toward Edinburgh. The journey carries weight beyond mere distance. Andrew Gray, a clergyman of quiet conviction, leads his son David and young daughter Agnes toward a city bracing for transformation. The National Covenant awaits signing, a document that will challenge royal authority and demand that Scots choose between their faith and their king. The novel captures a nation on the verge of covenanting, its people filled with both dread and defiant hope. Gray teaches his children that courage means walking toward danger when your conscience demands it. This is historical fiction about the collision of private life and public conviction, set in the year Scotland refused to bend.
