A Working Plan for Colored Antituberculosis Leagues

A Working Plan for Colored Antituberculosis Leagues, written by Charles Poindexter Wertenbaker around 1909, is a public health guide aimed at establishing antituberculosis leagues in African American communities. The book focuses on strategies for organizing and maintaining these leagues, particularly within church organizations, to combat the disproportionate impact of tuberculosis on colored populations. It serves as a significant historical document highlighting early 20th-century public health efforts and community mobilization against disease.
