The Sea-Wolf
When a San Francisco ferry accident pitches literary critic Humphrey Van Weyden into the icy Pacific, he's rescued—or rather, shanghaied—by the Ghost, a seal-hunting schooner captained by the formidable Wolf Larsen. Larsen, a man of immense intellect and even greater brutality, has no intention of returning Van Weyden to his comfortable, civilized world.
