Life and Death of Mr. Badman

The Life and Death of Mr. Badman, written by John Bunyan in 1680, is a didactic work presented as a dialogue between Mr. Wiseman and Mr. Attentive. It serves as a companion piece to Bunyan's more famous work, The Pilgrim's Progress, focusing on the moral failures and sinful life of its central character, Mr. Badman. The narrative explores themes of sin, repentance, and the consequences of ungodliness, ultimately warning readers about the dangers of a life devoid of moral principles. This book is notable for its early influence on the novel form, particularly the picaresque genre.
