Wonderful Adventures of Nils
The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, written by Selma Lagerlöf and published in two parts in 1906 and 1907, follows the journey of a young boy named Nils Holgersson who is transformed into a tiny creature and travels across Sweden on the back of a goose. Commissioned by the National Teachers Association to serve as a geography reader, Lagerlöf's work integrates elements of Swedish folklore and nature studies, showcasing the country's landscapes and wildlife. Notably, Lagerlöf became the first female Nobel laureate in Literature in 1909, marking her significant contribution to literature.
