
Winter's Tale
Winter's Tale is a play by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written around 1600. The story follows King Leontes of Sicilia, who, driven by jealousy, falsely accuses his wife Hermione of adultery and orders the death of his best friend Polixenes. Sixteen years later, Leontes' abandoned daughter Perdita, raised as a shepherd's daughter, falls in love with Polixenes's son, leading to a reunion and reconciliation. The play is notable for its themes of redemption and the passage of time.
