Henry Alexander Murray was an American professor of psychology at Harvard University. Despite no formal training in psychology, he made several notable contributions to the field. Murray developed the “personology” theory of personality. Murray was also a co-developer, with Christiana Morgan, of the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), a projective measure of personality widely used for many years.
“Science is a passing fable that sets us free when it arrives and when it leaves.””
“You have a very rough way of expressing your tastes," said Mrs. Murray with a shiver, as they got into her carriage. "Do you know, I never could understand the humor of joking about funerals." "That surprises me," said Mr. Dudley. "A good funeral needs a joke. If mine is not more amusing than my friends', I would rather not go to it.””
