Uneasy Money
Lord Dawlish, a charming but perpetually impecunious English peer, finds himself in a most delightful pickle. His fiancée, the equally charming Claire Fenwick, insists on financial stability before tying the knot, prompting Dawlish to hatch a grand, if vague, plan to conquer New York and its riches. But before he can even book passage, a colossal inheritance drops into his lap, along with the very sticky wicket of a moral dilemma: the money, he feels, rightly belongs to someone else. What follows is a transatlantic comedy of errors as Dawlish attempts to offload his sudden fortune onto its 'true' owner, navigating a madcap ensemble of eccentric American millionaires, aspiring actresses, and a chorus line of beautifully bewildered bystanders.
