Poems

''Poems'' is a collection of poetry by Matilda Betham, first published in 1808. Written during the early 19th century, the collection reflects the emotional depth and literary finesse characteristic of the Romantic era. Betham explores themes of love, loss, nature, and the human experience, with poems that evoke empathy and introspection, such as ''The Old Fisherman,'' which reflects on grief and memory. This work showcases Betham's ability to intertwine personal pain with the beauty of life's fleeting moments.
