Patchwork Girl of Oz
When Ojo the Munchkin's beloved uncle is turned to marble, the boy must undertake an impossible quest: gather three magical ingredients scattered across the land of Oz, each protected by its own deadly peril. His only companions are the patchwork girl Scraps, stitched together from an old quilt and brimming with cheerful madness, and a ragtag band of Oz favorites including the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and Dorothy herself. The Liquid of Petrifaction has already claimed two victims, and time is running out. As Ojo journeys from the forested lands of the Woozy to the glittering Emerald City, he discovers that courage isn't the absence of fear but the determination to act despite it. Baum crafts a story where the absurd and the poignant coexist: a cat made of glass who boasts of her ruby eyes, a shaggy man who spreads love wherever he goes, and a hero who must prove that a simple boy can succeed where wizards might fail.
