Miss Billy

Miss Billy, written by Eleanor H. Porter and published in 1911, tells the story of Billy Neilson, a young woman who seeks connection after the death of her aunt leaves her feeling isolated. She reaches out to her father's old friend, William Henshaw, hoping to find a new home and family. The novel explores themes of independence, relationships, and the challenges of adjusting to a new life, particularly as Billy's vibrant personality contrasts with the more reserved Henshaw brothers, leading to both humorous and poignant moments.
