Chance

Chance, written by Joseph Conrad and first published in installments in 1913, is a two-part story that explores themes of love and dependence through the lens of a damsel and her knight. Originally titled 'Dynamite,' the novel became Conrad's biggest commercial success, allowing him to resolve his financial issues. The narrative critiques the lives of those who dwell on the land and introduces a new interpretation of 'enthusiastic.'
