The Vision of Desire

When Eliot Meryon receives a letter rejecting his proposal, he renounces love forever. Years later, in the glittering Swiss Alps, he encounters Ann Lovell, a woman as determined to guard her own heart as she is to save Tony Brabazon from the gambling debts consuming him. But Ann carries her own secrets, her own obligations born of poverty and duty. As three wounded lives collide against a backdrop of luxury hotels and Alpine vistas, Eliot must choose whether his wounded pride will forever close him off, or whether Ann's courage can restore his faith in love and humanity. Set in the early twentieth century, this is a romance shaped by the strictures of its era, where desire battles duty and the heart's vision must overcome the wounds of the past.
