The Seventh Noon

The Seventh Noon, written by Frederick Orin Bartlett in the early 20th century, follows Peter Donaldson, a disillusioned young man grappling with his place in an unwelcoming society. The narrative begins with a discussion between Donaldson and Professor Barstow about the value of life and the concept of choosing death. As Donaldson contemplates escaping his troubles, he encounters Miss Arsdale, whose presence prompts him to live fully for a week, leading to an exploration of life, love, mortality, and personal choice.
