The Go Ahead Boys and the Racing Motor-Boat

Four boys. One lightning-fast motorboat. A river waiting to be conquered. The Go Ahead Boys, Fred at the helm of the Black Growler, lanky String, quick-witted Soc, and steady Pop, set sail from Yonkers with the St. Lawrence River races gleaming on the horizon. What begins as a joyride through New York's scenic waterways becomes a test of nerve, skill, and friendship. The banter flies as fast as the boat cuts through the water, and every bend in the river promises either victory or disaster. Written in 1916, this is adventure at its purest: boys and their boat against the open water, chasing glory and discovering what it really means to stick together when the current turns rough.
