Tarnished Silver

Tarnished Silver is an early 20th-century novel that explores the complex relationships of Mr. Thomas Algernon Field, a wealthy landowner, and his discontented son, Julius, set in a seaside community. The story delves into class struggles and personal conflicts, particularly through the interactions between the Fields and the local villagers, including an obstinate fisherman named Timothy. As Julius seeks companionship outside his social class, the narrative unfolds themes of aspiration and moral exploration amidst familial tensions.
