Songs of the Army of the Night

Songs of the Army of the Night, published in 1904 by Francis Adams, is a collection of poems reflecting the struggles of the working class in 19th-century England. The work addresses themes of labor, oppression, and social inequality, aiming to awaken awareness of these injustices. The poems, beginning with the proem 'Outside London,' evoke the imagery of the 'Army of the Night,' symbolizing the unity of the oppressed against the elite.
