Rinkitink in Oz, written by L. Frank Baum and published in 1916, follows Prince Inga of Pingaree, who embarks on a quest to rescue his enslaved people after invaders capture the island. Along with King Rinkitink and a talking donkey named Bilbil, Inga uses three magical pearls that grant strength, invincibility, and wisdom to confront the Nome King and the military forces of Regos and Coregos. This book is notable for its imaginative world-building and is part of Baum's Oz series.
