Ozma of Oz, published in 1907, is the third book in L. Frank Baum's Oz series. In this installment, Dorothy Gale is shipwrecked in the fairy land of Ev, where she meets new friends including Tiktok, a mechanical man, and Billina, a talking chicken. Together with her old companions—the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion—they embark on a quest to rescue the royal family of Ev from the Nome King. This story expands the Oz universe and introduces memorable characters and adventures.
