Newshound

In the 22nd century, news is no longer reported, it is manufactured. Journalists don't observe history; they create it, shaping events through the sheer power of their words. Darius McLeod is a star reporter for the Star-Times, one of two ruthless media empires locked in an ever-escalating battle to control what the public sees, believes, and does. But in a world where the pen is mightier than the sword, McLeod discovers that the greatest danger isn't his rival newspaper or even the assassins circling closer with each passing day. It's the predictions written about him, prophecies that may well become self-fulfilling traps. Newshound is a sharp, unsettling vision of a future where information is weaponized and the line between observer and participant has completely dissolved. For readers who wonder how far we've strayed from truth, Marlowe offers a darkly prophetic reminder that the news has always been a story we tell ourselves.
