Mr. Punch's Cockney Humour

Mr. Punch's Cockney Humour, first published in 1899, is a collection of humorous illustrations and stories that encapsulate the wit and charm of Cockney life in late 19th-century London. Compiled from contributions by artists associated with the British weekly magazine 'Punch,' it features comedic sketches and sayings that reflect the everyday experiences of Cockney characters, particularly the fictional 'Arry. The work highlights the cleverness of Cockney humour, offering an affectionate portrayal of urban life while contrasting it with more elitist perspectives.
