More Portmanteau Plays

More Portmanteau Plays, published in 1919 by Stuart Walker, is a collection of original theatrical works that reflect the evolving American theater of the early 20th century. The plays delve into themes of love, loneliness, and the human condition, featuring characters grappling with deep emotional struggles. The collection opens with a prologue introducing Memory, leading into the poignant narrative of 'The Lady of the Weeping Willow Tree,' which explores maternal love, personal sacrifice, and the bittersweet nature of longing through the story of Obaa-San and her connection to a weeping willow tree.
