Men of Zanzibar

Published in 1896, 'Men of Zanzibar' by Richard Harding Davis follows the story of Hemingway, who, after a hunting trip in Uganda, settles in Zanzibar among the English-speaking expatriate community. While concealing his true identity, he falls in love with Polly Adair, an American socialite. The narrative explores themes of love and secrecy, culminating in a revelation that challenges their relationship.
