Little Lord Fauntleroy

Little Lord Fauntleroy is a sentimental children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, first serialized in St. Nicholas Magazine in 1885 and published separately in 1886. The story follows a young boy who discovers he is the heir to a title and fortune, influencing fashion trends with its illustrations by Reginal Birch. Notably, the book also set a precedent in copyright law when Burnett won a lawsuit regarding theatrical adaptations in 1888.
