Genesis A: Translated from the Old English

Translated by Lawrence Mason
Before Beowulf was written, before English existed as we know it, an anonymous poet in Anglo-Saxon England gave voice to the oldest story humanity knows. This is that voice, rendered into modern English: the creation of heaven and earth, the radiance of angels, and the catastrophic pride that tore them from grace. The narrative follows Lucifer's daring rebellion against divine order, his thunderous fall into the abyss, and the forging of humanity in the void their absence created. What strikes modern readers is not merely the antiquity of the verse but its visceral power. The poet renders Satan not as cartoon evil but as a figure of genuine tragedy, his pride and fury palpable across a thousand years. The language has the crackle of something ancient and dangerous, a window into how Anglo-Saxon Christians understood their sacred origins. This translation preserves the dramatic intensity of the original while making it accessible to contemporary readers.

“Yeah, go in the house so I can give her this dick,” Jelly taunted. “She sees this strap and knows what I’m about.” “Nigga-ma’am!” Krude roared and turned around. “What the fuck?” He took a step back, and I looked around him. Jelly stood in her spot, her shorts around her knees, stroking her strap with her head thrown back as if she could feel what she was doing.””

“I don’t gotta ask her shit,” he said once he got himself together. “I have been in that pussy for years at this point, Ms. Nigga-sir. You and that little strap you got can’t do for her what I can do.””
