Emerald City of Oz
The Emerald City of Oz, published in 1910, is the sixth book in L. Frank Baum's Oz series. In this installment, Dorothy, along with her Uncle Henry and Aunt Em, is invited by Ozma to live in the Emerald City as they face the threat of losing their Kansas farm. They encounter various whimsical creatures and old friends, but their peace is disrupted by the Nome King, who plots to invade Oz. This book is notable for its imaginative characters and Baum's decision to temporarily sever Oz from the outside world, leading to further adventures in the series.
