Drums of Jeopardy is a 1920 novel by Harold MacGrath, originally serialized in The Saturday Evening Post. The story features a mad scientist character named Boris Karlov, which inspired actor Boris Karloff to adopt a similar stage name. The novel was adapted into a Broadway play in 1922 and two film versions in 1923 and 1931, making it notable for its influence on early cinema and the horror genre.
