Dick Kent with the Mounted Police

Two boys. A wilderness. An impossible rescue. Dick Kent and his friend Sandy McClaren are about to discover that adventure has a price. When word arrives that Sandy's uncle lies trapped at Fort Good Hope, threatened by the ruthless outlaw Bear Henderson and his gang, the boys launch a desperate mission through the Canadian north. They paddle their canoe into treacherous waters, knowing Henderson's men are watching, tracking, waiting. What begins as a rescue dash becomes a fight for survival. A forest fire races across the horizon. Shadows move in the trees. Every mile downstream brings them closer to danger and further from safety. The Mounted Police are their only hope, but between the boys and lawmen lies three hundred miles of wilderness, a bloodthirsty gang, and the燃烧 of the forest itself. This is old-fashioned adventure at its finest: propulsive, tense, and utterly unafraid to let its young heroes bleed. The wilderness doesn't care that they're teenagers. It only cares whether they're brave enough to survive.
