Dick Kent with the Eskimos

The Arctic is no place for the faint of heart. When Dick Kent and his friend Sandy join a Royal Northwest Mounted Police expedition into the frozen north, they're about to discover that the real danger isn't the killing cold or the starving polar bears prowling the ice, it's the mystery of Fred Mistak, the 'white Eskimo' who seems to be everywhere and nowhere at once. Their journey becomes a high-stakes pursuit across the tundra, where survival depends on quick thinking and nerves of steel. With their Indian companion Toma and a captured Eskimo named Mukwa who may or may not be playing both sides, the expedition pushes deeper into a wilderness that fights back at every turn. The Arctic itself becomes a character here: endless white, cracking ice, and a silence so total it feels like the land is watching. This is adventure at its most elemental, a boy's-own tale of friendship, danger, and the unyielding human spirit tested against nature at its most unforgiving.
