Dave Dashaway Around the World

In 1913, when the sky was still a frontier of impossible dreams, a young aviator named Dave Dashaway takes to the air in a single-minded quest: to circumnavigate the globe by plane. What follows is a breathless adventure across frozen Alaskan tundra, through the vast emptiness of Siberia, and into the imaginative hearts of every child who ever looked up at a passing biplane and wondered. Weldon Cobb, writing as Roy Rockwood for the Stratemeyer Syndicate, captures the pure electric optimism of an era when flight was brand new and anything seemed possible. Dave isn't just a hero for his courage in the cockpit, but for his boundless confidence in a world that hadn't yet learned to doubt itself. This is nostalgic adventure at its finest, a time capsule of early twentieth-century wonder that reminds us what it felt like to imagine the future before it arrived.
