
Crimson Fairy Book
The Crimson Fairy Book, edited by Andrew Lang and published in 1903, is a collection of thirty-six fairy tales from various cultures around the world. The stories include adaptations from Hungarian, Russian, Servian, Roumanian, Baltic, Sicilian, Finnish, Icelandic, Japanese, Tunisian, and Portuguese folklore. Many tales were translated or adapted by Mrs. Lang, with contributions from Miss Lang and Miss Blackley. This anthology showcases the diversity of nursery tales, reflecting the universal love for storytelling across different cultures.
