Courage of Marge O'Doone

David Raine is running from something he cannot name - memories too sharp, a past too heavy. On a northbound train, he encounters Father Rolland, a priest who speaks of the Canadian wilderness as a place where silence can heal what civilization could not. Also on that train: a woman searching for a man called Michael O'Doone, her eyes holding secrets David cannot quite read. She leaves behind a thin package, and inside is a photograph of a young woman with fearless eyes - Marge O'Doone - and suddenly David has a purpose beyond his own healing. He must find her.
