Black Eagle Mystery

A man falls from the eighteenth floor of a Lower Manhattan skyscraper. The police call it suicide. Molly Morgenthau Babbits calls it nonsense. Hollings Harland was a corporate lawyer with access to dangerous secrets, a corner of copper market manipulation, and a mysterious organization called the Black Eagle. He'd just walked out of a bitter meeting with the wealthy Johnston Barker. Hours later, he was dead. Molly doesn't believe in convenient explanations, especially when money and power are involved. With a connection inside the Black Eagle Building itself, she begins her own investigation into the facts behind the fall. What she uncovers is a web of financial manipulation, secret societies, and men who will do anything to protect their empire. Someone murdered Hollings Harland. Molly intends to prove it. Set against the backdrop of 1920s New York, this is vintage mystery at its finest: a plucky amateur detective, a shadowy corporation, and a trail of breadcrumbs that leads straight into danger.
