A Letter from Mr. Cibber to Mr. Pope

A Letter from Mr. Cibber to Mr. Pope is a satirical correspondence written by Colley Cibber in the early 18th century. The letter defends Cibber's character against critiques from Alexander Pope, particularly those found in Pope's work, the 'Dunciad.' It explores the rivalry between the two writers, offering insights into the literary culture of the time and themes of reputation and artistic criticism.
