Published in 1910, 'Wouldbegoods' is the sequel to E. Nesbit's 'The Treasure Seekers' and follows the further adventures of the Bastable children—Oswald, Dora, Dicky, Alice, Noel, and H. O.—as they navigate their new life in a country home. Joined by the Robber's children, Daisy and Denny, the group faces various misadventures while attempting to become better children. The book is notable for its humorous portrayal of childhood and the challenges of growing up, as well as for containing a controversial term in Chapter 5.
