Valley of the Croen

A golden statue that always points toward death. A hidden valley in Korea where flying saucers land. A cross-eyed man with a warning that might save you or destroy you. Carl Keele is a mining man, practical and skeptical, until Jake Barto walks into his life carrying a golden figurine that shouldn't exist. The statue points unerringly toward a valley that doesn't appear on any map, a place where something ancient and something alien have converged. Barto claims the statuette is a warning. Keele suspects it's a weapon. Either way, they're both going into the mountains, following gold and gravity toward something that doesn't want to be found. Valley of the Croen is 1950s pulp at its finest: a strange, propulsive adventure that mixes Cold War intrigue with ancient mysteries and the persistent fear of what's out there in the dark. It's for readers who want their sci-fi served with adventure, their mysteries wrapped in exotic locales, and their endings just strange enough to haunt them.
